LEARNING TO GIVE UP....
Running after something which is beyond our reach is a human tendency. To give
up is hard and to try to get the unattainable leads to a fall. Coming back empty handed hurts the ego. 'I am the GREATEST'
is what we try to maintain. I win....not you , is the feeling inside which leads to pretensions. But who can look away from
the realization inside, actually what I am and what I want. It's hard to learn to give up, but running after a 'mrigamarichika'
or mirage leads to only pain. |

REALITY...HOW ONE LOOKS AT IT
People have different principles in life . Some believe in 'tit for tat' and some
just forgive. Reality is how one looks at it. A half filled glass can be looked at as half empty too. It depends on how a
person judges it, based on his/her perception and understanding. World is made of good and bad, who can deny? But to look
only at the negative aspects makes a person think negative only. To maintain a proper balance between the good and the bad
is what is important. Reality is....people still try to maintain the GOOD in them living among the bad, people still TRUST
people after suffering betrayal and LOVE still exists among hatred. |

GUILT AND MORALITY
Based on a few observations , I am trying to write on this topic.
The level
of morality decides the judgement power of a person. The courage to do wrong without feeling guilty depends on the moral sense
of the person. World is made up of good and bad and that is how it is balanced. Doing wrong knowingly and not feeling guilty
whereas committing a mistake unknowingly and feeling guilty always is the difference that the morality of a person decides.
Higher the morality level, more concious is the person about his/her wrong doings. But paradoxically, these are the people
who dont have the peace of mind and are unhappy. So, should one try to bring down his/her morality level? This is not
possible. Moral sense is natural, inborn. Actually to realize the fault is the repentance in itself. Why to think about the
mistakes done in the past? Instead, to rectify the faults and not repeating the mistakes is what is required. There is just
one life that we really know we have. Let us aim to make it beautiful. |

SATSANG AUR KUSANG( GOOD COMPANY AND BAD COMPANY)
True nature of a person never changes. Recognize that nature and to remain
unaffected by it is not easy. True nature of a person can be camouflaged by him/her in many ways . See only
good in others is what is taught but the world is balanced by the good and the bad. To know what' s the right path
and to maintain the good in oneself is important and once the bad is recognized , it's wise to be away from it. It
shouldn't be forgotton that however polished a person's behaviour be and however camouflaged let the person make
himself, the true nature , good or bad , comes out naturally at times. Behaviour is external whereas nature is what is inside
the person, with which he is born. So, if one has recognized the inner nature of a person and the path doesn't
seem right, it's wise to stay away from the person. All the Great beings like Meerabai, Nanak, Soordas, Kabir etc have mentioned
the importance of 'satsang' and effects of 'kusang' in their bhajans (devotional songs). That holds true in any age, any yuga.
Following the right path leads one to the desired goal . |

TRUST AND DOUBLE STANDARDS
Trust develops slowly and takes just a second to get shattered. Not everyone is
the same in the world, nobody can deny but to have double standards, to be different with different people is not adjustabilty
but is a sign of coward people. To be too flexible is not what is desirable but to have that strength in ourselves that we
are 'right', we are with the 'truth' shows one' s character. Betrayal is an unforgivable sin. To follow the leader blindly
doesn't make a person faithful but, to have a certain principle and follow it till the end makes a person trustworthy. To
yell, 'I am trustworthy, I am faithful' doesn't make one, but silent actions dont require propaganda. .

and principles).

EGO:
Human nature to feel big seems so natural. To love our own creation is very natural and whatever
be it , the love for it is very human. The world remains small till the realization of our being small comes. The destruction
of EGO only happens when we experience something big in real sense and it overpowers ; completely engulfs our EGO. The humility
cuts through our EGO and pierces deep into ourself where we find the *I* sobbing., but we still cannot give up that *I* in
us. This is a tough exam and we are only humans. Let' s try and one day we will achieve it.
